Coffee & Coconut Scrub

As summer is gearing up I like to have a good exfoliant in my beauty regime. I love making my own homemade beauty products, you always know exactly whats in them, they cost less than store bought versions, and they save on packaging. Plus it feels rewarding to create your own, even when it is as simple as this coffee & coconut scrub.  It consists of only two ingredients that you probably already have in your cupboard and you can add any essential oils you like to personalise it. It is a great way to use up leftover coffee grounds, I use the leftover coffee in my french press, and a cold pressed coconut oil. This stuff can be used all over your body, I even use it on my face, but if you have sensitive skin, be gentle. I love this stuff for how simple + effective it is, plus it's an invigorating way to start your morning, like bullet proof coffee for your bod!

  • 1/2 cup ground coffee
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil
  • glass jar with lid

  1. Melt the coconut oil by scooping it into a heatproof bowl, and placing over a pot of simmering water.
  2. When melted pour the coconut oil into the jar, add in the coffee grounds, and stir in.
  3. Store in the fridge for a longer shelf life(3 months) and heat up in the shower or bath to apply!
