Golden Glow Smoothie
Now that the weather is warming up here in New York I have been loving making smoothies! I am obsessed and have been having at least one a day. They are super easy to whip up, make great breakfasts and post workout snacks. I love how they feel like a treat but are crazy healthy as I use them as a way to sneak all sorts of nutrient dense foods into my day.
This smoothie is rich in beta carotene which your body converts to vitamin A(retinol), it's super anti-inflammatory thanks to the turmeric and ginger and it's got healthy fats from the hemp seeds. Basically, its amazing for you skin and your bod, plus it tastes amazing. It reminds me of orange sherbet from when I was a kid. It is my favorite breakfast at the moment, giving me a summer glow from the inside out. I used Lakewood Organic fresh pressed carrot juice for the recipe but you could certainly make your own if you have a juicer, you could also sub the carrot juice for coconut water or your favourite plant based milk.

FOR THIS RECIPE YOU'll NEED
- 1/2 cup carrot juice
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/4 orange
- 1/2 cup or handful frozen pineapple
- 1/2 cup or handful frozen mango
- 1 inch piece fresh turmeric
- 1/2 piece of fresh ginger
- 1 tsp hemp seeds
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth adding water to thin out if necessary. Serve immediately!
